We really enjoyed our time at The Island, and definitely plan to come back soon! The amenities are great, from the swim-up grotto bar to the hot tub. It is a lively environment as well, with a live DJ and a football watch party on the day that we went.

We took my daughter to swim for her first birthday since they have a heated pool. She had an absolute blast and we will be taking her back! This is a perfect option for when the Gulf water is too cold.

We had a lazy day by the pool. 5 cabañas. We got one after a family left. So relaxing for older couples like us. The pool was warm and if you wanted to get a drink just walk over to swim bar . Get in that water and swim until the water fall into a rock grotto bar. The 4 person deal came with 4 drink coupons. Their are outside grill restaurant where you can buy food too.

We just had a day pass ....BUT the two associates that interacted with me were amazing from the front desk giving us maps of everything since it was our very first time...to the events paper it was awesome...Then the bar at the pool...the bar tender I do not know his name, BUT this guy was beyond amazing. The only bar tender and had tens of people in line at a time...but he did amazing and needs a raise. He was by far the best bartender I've ever had and I hope he gets to see this review. We are locals from Crestview, but it felt like we truly were on vacation on our DayCation!!!!! Thank y'all for being awesome!! Truly, the drunk local who fell in love with those mudslides!!!

We stayed at an AirBnB nearby and decided to add a day at The Island so we could access the pool. We are so glad that we were able to purchase the day passes! The hotel was very accommodating from the start of our day, even including parking in their garage. Their pools, swim up bar, and beach access are all convenient and feel very luxurious! I kept mentioning how much of a steal the day pass is, because you really get a whole experience for a little bit of money! We plan to visit again next time we’re in Fort Walton!

I didn't have a room at the resort. If there was a free drink, i didn't get a ticket for it when I got my ticket for the pool party.

The back pool was pretty cold but the front pool was just right. Drinks and food were good. It actually felt like we were at a Resort vs. a hotel on the beach. Highly recommend. We will be back to The Island!

Me and a bunch of friends booked a daycation pass as an early Mother’s Day out. It was lovely! Plenty of options of places to set up camp, drinks were great as well as the food. Next time I’ll for sure try one of the desserts. The option for a heated pool was nice though we didn’t end up utilizing it since it’s next to the kid pool and we wanted to avoid kids if possible for the day. The DJ was great also!

Bought the day passes for the pool. I think it’s well priced at $25/adult for everything there. I expected just the one grotto bar pool but was pleasantly surprised that there was also a hot tub, heated pool and a kiddy pool. Plus due the proximity to the beach, was able to go on a dip in the ocean to finish off the day!

One of the best places we have done a day pass at. The pool is huge and the kids had a blast. Would recommend getting there early in the day to get good seats, we showed up around 2pm and had to do some searching to get pool chairs. But it was a lot of fun! Will go back!

We are RVers and we are sorbihg a few days in the Destin/Fort Walton Beach area. We googled and found out about this daycation and we are so glad we did. We had the best time! We mostly hung out at the grotto pool which was so nice and the bart beer in the grotto was really nice and made me a few delicious drinks. Wr walked out to the beach and got in the water for a bit. So pretty. Wr highly recommend this experience. We are going back today weather permitting!.

Loved doing this for a few hours! I do wish there was more of a food selection outside around the pool area & the food they did have was quite pricey & not that good. Drinks were great, a little pricey as well but it is a resort so... Will definitely go back. As a local, it is a great alternative then going to the beach or renting a boat! I am glad that we did not rent the gazebo that we were thinking about because if it is that small little bed with a sheer curtain over it, then it would not have been worth the price & we would have been extremely disappointed! That is definitely not worth almost $200!

The Island is AMAZING!!!! The staff are welcoming and friendly, and the amenities are spectacular! Between the pools, food, drinks, and beach, it was easy to spend the entire day in paradise! Perfect for adults and kids - my boys couldn’t get enough of the grotto pool. Highly recommend as a way to get away from it all.

Always a great time! The heated pool was a little *too* heated today considering the heat index was like 115, it was genuinely like being in a warm bath and my kids even complained it was too warm, but otherwise no complaints! We have been a couple times and will likely go again a couple more as the weather cools.

The hotel itself was very nice and clean. The food and drinks were delicious and the cave bar was very cool. The Pina colada and dragon berry mojito are a must try. I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad that was fresh and filled me up, but I tried a bite of the burger and fries and that was also wonderful. The pier to the beach was also a cool spot with a partly shaded area and beach bar/grill. There were plenty of pool chairs to choose from and the staff were all nice. The cabanas on the other hand I would not waste my money on if I was to return. I rented three of them for our group weeks in advance and when we arrived, it was like they had no clue of the reservations. It was a very unorganized check in process. Our group downsized and before I saw the size of cabanas, I asked if I could receive a refund for the third one as I didn’t think we would need that many anymore. I let them know I totally understood if not since I only let them know at check in but just wanted to check. I also didn’t want to tie up 3 of the 5 cabanas if we didn’t need to. I talked to two separate people and nobody could tell me about the process of a refund or if I could get one. Then we were told to wait up front by one lady and she would send someone to retrieve our luggage (they have a luggage holding room which was also very helpful) and the front desk assistant asked us 10 minutes later why we were still up at the front check in. When I told her we we were told to wait for luggage pick up she took care of that for us. It took about an hour from check in to have our cabanas ready which was okay because there were tons of other seating choices as we got there around 10 am. When we got over there, the blue cabana mats were soaked and had large brown (hopefully mildew) spots all over them. They put down white towels to soak up the moisture and cover up the spots, but then the complimentary towels were wet and had a foul odor to them. They also said 1 cabana could hold up to 5 people, but at most it was 3 people (2 comfortably.) Out of our group of 10, only 2 used the cabanas and the rest of us just sat in pool chairs. The few bottles of complimentary bottled water and the drink coupons were the only redeeming quality for the cabana rental. If I was to return, I would absolutely go back to the resort but I would maybe just buy a day pass from the hotel.
